Greater Dayton RTA Announces Route Adjustments

Route Adjustments Effective February 25

The Greater Dayton RTA has announced a few route adjustments and service changes scheduled to take effect on Sunday, February 25. These changes are aimed at serving the needs of customers, the community, and businesses more effectively.

Route Modifications

  1. Route 12:
  • Will now service Free Pike and E. Main Street between OH-49 and Olive Road.
  1. Route 18:
  • Northbound route will now service W. Schantz Avenue from S. Dixie Avenue to S. Patterson Boulevard.

Minor Service Changes

The RTA has also announced minor service changes impacting several routes including routes 2, 7, 12, 16, 18, 22, and 43. These changes involve adjustments to stop times and routes to improve service efficiency.

Maps comparing the new service routes with the prior service routes are available on the RTA website. These maps can help riders understand the changes and plan their journeys accordingly.

Deadline for Application

The deadline for applications for federal assistance is April 8, 2024. Residents in affected areas are encouraged to visit the RTA website or contact RTA customer service for more information.

Greater Dayton RTA Announces Routing Changes on 11 Bus Routes

Changes Effective February 12

The Greater Dayton RTA has announced routing changes on 11 bus routes, impacting routes 1, 7, 9, 12, 16, 18, 34, 43, 60, 61, and 65, effective February 12.

Route Specific Changes

  1. Route 1:
  • Eastbound trips after Millett Hall will now also service Presidential Drive and Center Park University boulevards.
  1. Route 4:
  • The westbound weekday trip from the Eastown Hub will now depart at 4:53 a.m.
  1. Route 7:
  • Route changed to service Apple Street between Main and Brown streets with added stops to service Miami Valley Hospital.
  1. Route 9:
  • Extended route from Derby Road and Germantown Pike to Westown to create two-way service on weekday nights.

Additional Changes

The announcement includes various adjustments to service times and routes for improved efficiency and safety. Riders are advised to check the RTA website for specific stop times for each route.
