TechnologyMaryland Weather update: Rain comes by mid-week.

Maryland Weather update : Rain is forecast to start early Wednesday morning and fall on and off through the Orioles’ season opener Thursday afternoon.

Tuesday is expected to be cloudy with a daytime high temperature in the upper 50s.

Wednesday morning is forecast a 30% chance of rain rising to 50% by the afternoon and 60% at night as temperatures stick in the 50s.

Thursday is expected to have over a 60% chance of rain between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and over a 40% chance of rain between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The first pitch on opening day at Camden Yards is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. Thursday temperatures are expected to reach the lower 60s in the afternoon and the mid-40s at night.

Maryland Weather update:
A coastal flood warning is in effect for Anne Arundel County between Monday night and noon Wednesday.

Friday, a scheduled day off for the Orioles, is expected to be sunny with a high near 58.

Wet weather makes its return to the area by mid-week and unfortunately it will affect Orioles Opening Day festivities.

COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY remains in effect for Harford & Baltimore Co. for tides running a foot higher than normal at high tide due to prolonged east winds.

COASTAL FLOOD WARNING remains in effect for Anne Arundel Co. where tides 2 ft. above normal are expected through Wednesday.

We are waking up to mostly clear skies and temperatures in the 30s and 40s. After some brief morning sunshine, the clouds will move in pretty quickly and take over with highs topping out in the low 50s.

By tonight, the impending storm system draws nearer, raising the likelihood of showers come Wednesday. However, all attention is focused on Thursday for the Orioles’ home opener, as current indications suggest wet conditions.

A developing low-pressure system to the South is poised to usher rain back into the area Wednesday night, persisting through Thursday morning.

There’s a distinct possibility that rain may persist throughout much of Thursday, potentially impacting the game, with temperatures holding steady in the low to mid-50s.

As Thursday progresses, the rain is forecasted to taper off, with sunshine poised to make a comeback by Friday. Looking ahead to the weekend, our attention turns to a front and several upper-level disturbances traversing through the Mid-Atlantic region.

The weekend forecast remains uncertain, hinging on the placement of the front and the track of these disturbances. Depending on these factors, we could experience predominantly dry conditions or encounter slight chances of showers on both Saturday and Sunday.

The outlook for the weekend remains questionable, contingent upon the placement and track of these features. We’ll continue to provide updates throughout the week. Any precipitation, if it occurs, is anticipated to be light and sporadic.

Looking further ahead to the following week, the next significant chance for rain appears to be late Monday into Tuesday.
