A beautiful weekend forecast severe storms in central IL is ahead with comfortable temperatures and lots of sunshine!Under a clear sky, temperatures will cool off efficiently overnight, dropping into the upper 30s and low 40s by Saturday morning.
Saturday afternoon highs will climb well into the 60s with lots of sun. Clouds will increase late with a slight chance for a spotty shower overnight.
Sunday will be another very pleasant day… but watch for the lake breeze! Early afternoon temperatures will warm into the 60s and 70s, but by late afternoon the lake breeze will kick in, shifting winds off the lake. That means temperatures will quickly fall into the 50s within a few miles of the lake, and that cooler air will gradually travel inland. By evening, lakeside areas will only be in the 40s, while well inland temperatures will still be in the 60s.
The next chance for widespread rain and thunderstorms will be on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will have to watch these storms as some could be on the stronger side.
