Sydney Sweeney experienced some frightening moments while filming Immaculate. Director Michael Mohan of Immaculate disclosed in a recent interview with Indiewire that Sydney got fake blood in one of her eyes while filming the graphic finale of the movie, but they went ahead and shot anyway to get the right image.
Sydney Sweeney’s On-Set Mishap – When Sydney was injured on set?
The filmmaker recollected in the interview, “We wanted to do everything practically. The final take presented the largest challenge. Sydney stung from fake blood getting into her eye, but we hadn’t quite got the take, and she was in a lot of discomfort. However, she is my supervisor, and she said, “Mike, keep shooting.” Continue firing till you f***ing understand. Nothing was reset, nothing. We continued filming, and I believe the third take was the ideal one. However, she was speaking with pain because she had artificial blood in her eye.
Michael Mohan went on to say that the actor had a challenging time throughout the shoot. That was most likely the most difficult task. However, he remarked, “It was easier for me, but harder for her.”
Having been involved in the project for a long time, Sydney is also the producer of Immaculate. She disclosed during her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that she had tried out for the role when she was sixteen, but the movie was never produced. Later, after the actor entered the producing field, she got in touch with the writer and put together the group to produce it. Sydney had collaborated on the sensual thriller The Voyeurs with director Michael Mohan.
Álvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, Dora Romano, Giorgio Colangeli, and Simona Tabasco are also featured in Immaculate. After its SXSW premiere, the movie garnered favorable reviews, and on March 22, Neon is scheduled to distribute it in North America.
