The Academy of Country Music Awards are scheduled to return to Texas in order to present the top country musicians with their medals. On Tuesday, May 16, 2024, the event will be held at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco. Additionally, Amazon Prime will livestream the award event so that people all around the world may watch.
Although the show’s performances, hosts, nominees, and start time have not yet been announced, the pre-sale ticket sales will start on March 8.
What Did The ACM CEO Say About The Venue?
In a statement, ACM CEO Damon Whiteside shared his thoughts on the site. “The Star District and Frisco, Texas proved to be the ideal new home for the evolution of this Emmy-nominated ‘Party,’ bringing the biggest names in music to the ardent and devoted fans of Texas Country Music,” the statement stated.
The statement went on, “To make this year’s show even bigger and better, we’re thrilled to bring ACM Awards week to life again at the home of America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys, along with our best-in-class partners at Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Dick Clark Productions, and our Executive Producer, Raj Kapoor. We are excited to see everyone in Texas, and we know that fans will want to be there in person to witness all the amazing experiences we have in store.
“The stars of country music shine very brightly here in Texas, and we’re honored to be the home of this amazing celebration once again,” the statement continues. We are very excited to welcome all of the amazing musicians and attendees to Country Music’s Party of the Year!
Last Year’s Academy Of Country Music Awards
The 2023 ACM Awards were a musical extravaganza including 18 performances by 25 artists. The show’s hosts were Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton. Among the major winners were Chris Stapleton and HARDY, and Lainey Wilson took home two prizes: Best Album of the Year and Female Artist of the Year. Live streaming of the two-hour ceremony was available on Amazon Prime.
This year’s event will honor Toby Keith, who departed on February 5th, 2024, with deep sadness. Further information on the nominees, performances, and hosting will have to wait a few days for the spectators.
