Anticipating the Next Round Storms Forecasted for Southwest Florida

StoriesAnticipating the Next Round Storms Forecasted for Southwest Florida

With the exception of a few sporadic storms that are developing further inland close to Lake O, most of Southwest Florida will experience dry weather on Tuesday. The main feature we’re keeping an eye on today is a line of rain and storms that is expected to develop and move into Southwest Florida late tonight or early Wednesday morning.

With the exception of a few sporadic storms that are developing further inland close to Lake O, most of Southwest Florida will experience dry weather on Tuesday. There may be patches of fog if you leave before 8 a.m. these are mostly over our inland communities.

Similar to Monday, there will be a lot of clouds scattered throughout with some sunshine. The day will likely be warm and muggy, with mid-80s daytime highs.

As we follow a line of storms moving in from the northwest, many of us may see some heavy rain and even thunderous rumbles during the course of the night. A portion of this precipitation will persist for your Wednesday morning commute, and more regions of precipitation and thunderstorms may form during the day on Wednesday, contingent on the amount of energy remaining in the atmosphere.

The next major shift is expected on Sunday as we track a cold front that is expected to move into Southwest Florida. Next week, there will be slightly cooler and drier air, along with some isolated showers.
