Erling Haaland: City Thrives on Big Matches

SportsErling Haaland: City Thrives on Big Matches

According to Erling Haaland, the City players look forward to games like their meeting against Liverpool on Sunday. The only way for the Blues to reach the top of the Premier League is with a victory at Anfield.

The two teams are tied at one point entering the match after Arsenal defeated Brentford 2-1 in the evening kickoff on Saturday.

“I believe that the Premier League is a competition where the winning team is determined by standing at the top and finishing at the top in the final few months,” Haaland added.

That is the proper way to go about it. There are a ton of great games coming out in the next few months, and this one is going to be incredibly big. We play football because of these games, which is why.

“They also have some excellent players.” They also purchased a few new players. [Dominik] Szoboszlai is incredible.

“The good news is that we have a lot of good players in addition to the fantastic ones that Liverpool has.

“We must be prepared and courageous when we play football. We intend to defeat them.

After a two-month injury layoff, Haaland is back in the flow with 29 goals in 32 games.

The Norwegian has scored 81 goals for City in just 85 games, an incredible return, but he claims he isn’t thinking about individual goals, preferring to focus on helping his club win and hold onto three titles in the months ahead.

It’s nice, he remarked. “I try to support my team, and the most important thing is that we are still competing in all three competitions, which is amazing.

“I try to use my aims and the way I play to benefit the team.

“The past season was incredible, but it is now in the past. I can’t think about [goal targets] because this season is something completely different.

It would be wild to consider this. In order to assist the squad win games, I have to consider things game by game. That is my primary concern.

Haaland also honored the helper machine. Another player who has recovered spectacularly from a long-term injury is Kevin De Bruyne.

As demonstrated by the most recent 6-2 victory over Luton, where De Bruyne assisted four of Haaland’s five goals, this combination has the potential to be absolutely lethal.

Haaland remarked, “He is a fantastic footballer and things click.”

“I enjoy playing with him and of course when one player gets injured it is not good for the team. “Injuries are a big part of football sadly, and you have to try to make the best out of it when people are injured. They have to come back stronger.”

Haaland continued, “It’s fantastic,” offering a taste of life under Pep Guardiola. His approach to football and his daily work ethic are genuinely exceptional.

“I really enjoy working with him and experiencing every single day.

“The way he thinks about football is completely different and he is fantastic to work with every single day.

“If you look at what he has been doing since he came here, it’s incredible.

“The way he has developed football is unreal and that was also one of the main reasons why I wanted to come here.

“I wanted to work with him and develop as a footballer with him.”
