FA Cup Buzz: Pochettino’s Second Chance at Glory; Can Liverpool maintain quadruple push?

SportsFA Cup Buzz: Pochettino's Second Chance at Glory; Can Liverpool maintain quadruple push?

Championship leaders Leicester will visit Chelsea on Sunday, and Manchester United will host longtime rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford. After Man Utd vs. Liverpool, fans can follow the semi-final draw on the Sky Sports app and website.

The home supporters at Stamford Bridge were ecstatic after Chelsea defeated Leeds 3-2 in the previous round of the FA Cup, even though it wasn’t pretty or convincing. The fact that the win came just three days after their extra-time Carabao Cup final loss to Liverpool at Wembley may have had more of an impact than the animosity between the teams. Chelsea’s season was saved by it.

The center of the Premier League is a busy place, and as co-efficient calculations are done every week, Chelsea’s league result might still earn them a spot in Europe the next season. However, winning a trophy would give Mauricio Pochettino’s project a boost and possibly get him some much-needed appreciation from Chelsea supporters who, he acknowledges, have not been impressed with his work thus far.

Although his dismal cup record in England hurts his reputation, Chelsea has drawn well, much like they did in the Carabao Cup. I’m itching to visit Wembley again. Chelsea cannot let this opportunity pass.
