This summer, Long Beach event Center will host Midsummer Scream, the biggest Halloween and horror event in the globe. The seventh annual Southern California convention is scheduled for July 26–28, 2024, and promises plenty of Halloween-themed activities to get horror lovers in the mood early (because, well, Halloween can never come too early).
Midsummer Scream Details
The convention’s subject, “A Haunting,” explores ghost stories from both real and fictional works of literature. Throughout the conference, the topic will stay constant. Here’s the official word on the Midsummer Scream lineup for this year.
The celebrity special guest lineup for Midsummer Scream includes Roger L. Jackson, who voiced Ghost Face in Scream; Boulet Brothers, who played Dragula; John Kassir, who narrated Tales from the Crypt; Garret Sander, who created Monster High, along with voice actors from the animated TV series; and more, who will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Of course, the enormously popular and expansive Hall of Shadows at Midsummer Scream, which is 75,000 square feet of haunted attractions designed by some of the most well-known professional and home haunters, will provide visitors with enough thrills and chills to last a whole weekend, complete with an entry experience designed by Fear Farm.
The Long Beach Convention Center will also host traditional Midsummer Scream elements, such as the HorrorBuzz-presented Screaming Room Film Festival, the Black Cat Lounge featuring kitten adoptions from Kitten Rescue, and the “Pumpkin Patch,” a kids’ area devoid of scares. Additionally, some 350 vendors—including Trick or Treat Studios, the Halloween Shirt Company, Backstitch Bruja, Sin City Props, and Froggy’s Fog—will be present to sell their sinister products.
Tickets for the three days of scary good times go on sale on March 2. A special price for general admission passes is available for a short period of time. Head to the official Midsummers Scream website for more details.
