On the Total Sport podcast, Charlotte Robson of the True Faith: Newcastle United Podcast offered her assessment of the Magpies’ FA Cup matchup against Manchester City. “Had it been at home, I might have had a little more faith in us. Manchester City will, in my opinion, take this extremely seriously.
“Going into this game, I’m not that confident, but stranger things have happened. We have a slight tendency to withdraw performances from games in which we haven’t before participated.
“I won’t say it’s all City; we might be able to get through here, but I think the fact that Gordon is probably out for this game is a huge blow.
From the sounds of the club, I’d be shocked if he was just getting started.
“I’m anxious. I continuously persuade myself out of it.”
Charlotte was “positive” and gave Newcastle a 2-1 prediction. Matthew Raisbeck of BBC Radio Newcastle also predicted a 2-1 victory for the Magpies, thanks to a goal from Miguel Almiron. – Newcastle United Podcast
