Josh Okogie, the gifted guard for the Phoenix Suns, was unexpectedly unable to play in Sunday’s pivotal game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. An injury to his right hip kept him off the court, which is why he was absent.

Okogie’s outstanding defensive abilities are well recognized, and they would have been helpful in the matchup with the Thunder. But without him, the Suns had to devise a new strategy, which presented difficulties for the group.
