Trump Targets Biden Amid Revelations from Robert Hur’s Transcript Shedding Light on President’s Memory

PoliticsTrump Targets Biden Amid Revelations from Robert Hur's Transcript Shedding Light on President's Memory

New information regarding the 81-year-old president’s memory has been provided via a transcript of Special Counsel Robert Hur‘s two-day interview with President Joe Biden. New information concerning President Joe Biden’s memory has been provided by a transcript of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s two-day interview with the 81-year-old leader.

According to the transcript, Biden occasionally made mistakes with details, such when staff members reminded him of the year his son Beau passed away.

It offers a comprehensive perspective of Biden’s conduct during the interview with Hur, who questioned the president on his handling of sensitive material. The President was described in his report as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

Trump made fun of US President Biden ahead of Hur’s hearing about a probe into the latter’s handling of secret documents by saying that Biden possessed more classified documents than any other president in the nation’s history.

On Tuesday morning, Trump posted on Truth Social, saying, “Big day in Congress for the Biden Documents Hoax.” Compared to me or any other president, he possessed several times more documents, including classified documents. He had them dispersed across the area with NO oversight or protection. He does NOT come under the Presidential Records Act, I DO.” “The DOJ gave Biden, and virtually every other person and President, a free pass. Me, I’m still fighting!!! MAGA,” he added.

Transcript of Biden-Hur interview shows memory lapses

A month after Biden attacked Hur for supposedly bringing up his late son in the interview, further information has come to light. It was unclear how Beau Biden was brought up in the discourse up until this point. Hur did note in his report that Biden was unable to recall the precise day of his son’s passing.

According to the Associated Press, Biden brought up Beau’s passing throughout the conversation, as can be seen in the transcript.

Speaking about the places he stored belongings in his Virginian rental property following his resignation as vice president in January 2017, Biden brought up the book he wrote about his son’s illness and eventual passing later that year. However, Biden appeared to have trouble remembering the year.

“Remember, in this timeframe, my son is — either been deployed or is dying, and, and so it was — and by the way, there were still a lot of people at the time when I got out of the Senate that were encouraging me to run in this period,” Biden stated.

“I had not given up on the possibility of running for office once more. However, I would run for president if I were to run again,” he continued. “And so, what was going on, though? What month did Beau pass away? May 30th, oh my god.”

“Was it 2015 he died?” Biden questioned his White House attorney. Prior to accepting that, the year was 2015.

Hur also drew the fury of First Lady Jill Biden following the release of the damning report. “Believe me, Beau never truly gets over his death—just like anyone who has lost a child.” In an email soliciting donations, she said, “I hope you can understand how it felt to read that attack—not just as Joe’s wife, but as Beau’s mother.”
